1. You skip meals.
You end up overeating later on in the day, also your metabolism slows down because it thinks you’re done for the day.

Which means a lack of protein, which helps boost your metabolism.
3. You avoid bread
White bread/pasta is bad, but the whole grains actually help keep belly fat away.
4. You’re crunch crazed.
Sit ups/crunches tone your abs, but they don’t do anything to the fat that’s covering them. You’re better off with cardio instead of wasting your time toning something that’s not even visible.
5. You drink a lot
Alcohol is filled with a lot of calories, which don’t fill you up.
6. You eat “lite products”
Products such as diet coke, sugar-free yogourt, or anything low-fat are filled with artificial sweeteners which trigger your metabolism to increase fat storage.
7. You avoid fatty foods
Foods high in monounsaturated fats help burn belly fat (such as avocado, even though it’s high in calories)
